Cadence Specialist DJs

Cadence Specialist DJ Training Courses

Want to be a DJ? Want to be taught by real DJs? Look no further. This is it.

Cadence Specialist DJ instructors teach you real world DJ skills to use in
real world clubs, because that's where you can find us - rocking some of the hottest clubs in Adelaide and Darwin.

If you talk to some DJs, they'll tell you that DJing is something you either
have, or you don't.

They're lying.

DJing is a skill. Anyone can learn it. All you need is a little time, a little
patience, and a DJ who actually wants to teach you to one day be better than they are.

What is the Cadence Specialist DJ course?

The course consists of 3 two hour sessions over the course of 3 days, where students are taught the theory and practice of mixing tracks together seamlessly - so that you cant tell when one song starts, and the other one ends - just like your favorite compilation CD.

How are students taught?

Students will first be trained in music theory, so that they understand how music works, and then trained in the technical application of that theory, so that they can combine their understanding of music with cutting edge technology, and do what DJs do - create awesome mixes of their preferred style of music.

Classes are of no more than 8 students, and may be taught by up to 3
specialist DJ instructors. Students will be trained hands-on, using industry
standard professional Pioneer DJ equipment.

Why should I learn to DJ instead of learning an instrument?

For the best reason ever - because you want to! And besides - learning an instrument takes months or years, involves lots of boring lessons before you finally ever get good etc. DJing on the other hand involves a lot less technical skill - and so you learn it faster. Worst case scenario, if you dont like it, its better to waste 3 days DJing than 12 months learning an instrument!

Is this a scam? How can you learn to DJ in 3 days? Learning a musical instrument takes years!

No it isnt a scam. One of our instructors was taught in about 2 hours, and currently DJs in 2 nightclubs in Adelaide. It does take a little practice to get it right, though.

How much is this going to cost?

We have several packages on offer, ranging in price from $150 for the basic Silver package, to $290 for the Ultimate package.

Why are some packages more expensive? How are they different?

Everybody is taught the same during classes, although more expensive packages include private lessons, or loaning of equipment so that you can practice in the privacy of your own home.

Can I choose a less expensive package now, and then get private lessons or loan gear afterwards?

Yes, but if you buy those lessons/gear loans as a package, it works out a little cheaper.
